Urban inequalities vs. Urban inclusion: migration, identity and public space On 19-21 June 2019 Oxfam in Russia in partnership with the Institute for Social Policy of the Higher School of Economics (HSE) and KB Strelka held a conference entitled “Urban inequalities vs. Urban inclusion: migration, identity and public space”. The World Water Day is celebrated on 22th March every year. Providing clean drinking water, sanitation and hygiene facilities to population affected by humanitarian crises, is the pinnacle of Oxfam's humanitarian work. Since 2015 we have provided clean water and sanitation to over 1 million people, including in hard-to-reach areas. We provide water by truck, repair water systems, deliver filters and jerry cans, we also build latrines and organise cleaning & awareness campaigns.

Oxfam and “Kids are kids” held the fourth seminar on integration and adaptation of migrant children

On the 29-30th October 2018, 78 representatives of NGOs, public and private schools, municipal and regional educational authorities and socially-oriented businesses convened in Moscow to share their experience in education and integration of migrant children. The meeting was part of a series of seminars, which are initiated by the Centre for Integration and Adaptation of migrant children “Kids are kids” and with financial and organisational support from Oxfam in Russia. This is the fourth seminar, and it culminated the joint project entitled “No borders integration”, conducted jointly by Mediaost Events und Kommunikation and Destination Est, with the financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany. 

One civilian dying every three hours in Yemen fighting – Oxfam

One civilian has been killed every three hours in fighting in Yemen since the beginning of August, with many more people succumbing to disease and hunger, Oxfam said today.  The Saudi-led coalition and the internationally recognised government are battling with the Houthis to control key ports and cities in the country.

Oxfam and Kids are kids invite you to participate in the 4th seminar on migrant children education

The seminar on integration and education of migrant children will take place on 29-30 October 2018. It will become fourth in the series of seminars organized by Integration Centre for migrant and refugee children “Kids as kids” and Oxfam in Russia. The seminar also serves as the final stage of the international exchange project titled “No borders integration” aiming at strengthening capacities of specialists working with non-native speaking children. The project is being implemented jointly by Mediaost Events und Kommunikation and Destination Est with financial support from Auswärtiges Amt (The Federal Foreign Office).
