Oxfam became an official partner of Moscow International Salon of Education (MSE)
Tatiana Intigrinova, Policy Advisor at Oxfam, provided her comment about the partnership with MSE: “Oxfam believes that it is important to work with MSE, because it presents an opportunity to discuss relevant questions of education with Russian and international colleagues. We will bring up for discussion questions pertaining education and integration of children of refugee and migrant backgrounds. For children one of the major barriers to achieve successful adaptation is language barrier. That is why we will prioritize the discussions about teaching Russian as a foreign language at our roundtable.”
Moscow International Salon of Education is the largest event in the field of education in Russia. Its agenda includes more than 1000 events, which will attract leading Russian and international educational institutions, developers of educational equipment and providers of educational services, as well as representatives of civil society and media.
One of the thematic areas of Oxfam’s work in Russia is support of educational initiatives and projects aiming at improving access to education and integration of migrant and refugee children into the Russian society.
